Verify Link Record

PreviousDelete Link RecordNextUse Cases

The Verify record operation enables you to verify whether your record matches the one at the link location on the blockchain. It provides proof of what was written to the blockchain and when.

Anyone who has a copy of the original record and the link location on the blockchain can find out whether there is any discrepancy.

The result will be a verification report that states whether the record and link location match the blockchain, do not match, or are unknown (retry later). This operation returns a verification report which states one of the following:

  • The record and link location do match the blockchain

  • The record and link location do not match (implying a discrepancy)

  • The record or link location are unknown (retry later)
