Enhancing the recipient experience is essential for ensuring that the digital certificates you issue through nChain Certify are valued, shared, and utilized by their recipients. This section outlines how recipients receive, view, share, and verify their certificates, along with guidance on adding certificates to LinkedIn.

Receiving a Certificate

Once a certificate is issued, admins can notify recipients via an automated email. This email, customizable through your email templates, includes instructions on how to access their certificate, along with any congratulatory messages or additional information you choose to include.

Viewing and Sharing Certificates

Online Certificate: Upon clicking the link in their notification email, recipients are taken to a dedicated page for their certificate. This page is optimized for both desktop and mobile viewing, ensuring easy access regardless of device. In upcoming releases, we will enable recipients to download certificates as pdf documents.

Social Sharing: nChain Certify includes options for recipients to share their certificates on social media platforms, including LinkedIn. This feature encourages recipients to showcase their achievements and enhances the visibility of your certification program.

Adding Certificates to LinkedIn Profiles

Encouraging recipients to add their certificates to their LinkedIn profiles can increase the credibility and reach of your certification program. Here are the steps recipients should follow:

Go to LinkedIn Profile: Recipients should log into their LinkedIn account and navigate to their profile.

Add License & Certification: Scroll to the 'Licenses & Certifications' section and click on the '+' icon to add a new certification.

Fill Certification Details: Recipients will enter the name of the certification, the issuing organization (as it appears on the certificate), and the time period. They should also include the certification ID and certification URL provided by nChain Certify, which links directly to the verification page of their certificate.

Save: After filling in the details, clicking 'Save' adds the certificate to their LinkedIn profile, visible to their network and potential employers.

Verifying Certificate Authenticity

nChain Certify leverages the Bitcoin SV blockchain to ensure the authenticity and integrity of issued certificates. Recipients and third parties can verify a certificate in the following way:

Blockchain Verification: Certificates are referenced on the blockchain and can be verified through BSV block explorers. Recipients can use the link provided in their email, or search any BSV block explorer using their certificate’s transaction ID.

nChain Certify Verification tool: nChan Certify provides a verification tool (https://certificates.nchain.cloud). Recipients must input their certificate verification code provided in the notification email. The verification tool fetches data on the blockchain and retrieves the status of the certificate.
