Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Evidence

PreviousInternet of Things (IoT) DataNextCar Dealership

An Intellectual Property (IP) owner wants to record tamper-proof information about a new process they have invented, whilst also providing transparency and proof of publishing for future revenue streams.

  1. The process inventor writes information about their process to the blockchain using nChain Event using either encoded or unencoded ‡ records. They can either do this themselves or use a service to perform the operation.

  2. The resultant location on the blockchain is published by the IP owner. Anyone can review the data and the timestamp confirming when it was appended.

  3. Any parties with the original information can also verify † it is present at the location on the blockchain.

Benefits

  • Transparency, proof of publishing what and when.

  • Returns a location which the data creator can distribute.

  • Anyone can verify † that the original data is at the location.
