An Intellectual Property (IP) owner wants to record information about a new process they have invented, as tamper-proof evidence of creation on the blockchain, whilst also providing transparency and proof of publishing for future revenue streams.
The process inventor appends information about their process to the blockchain using nChain Event. They can either do this themselves or use a service to perform the operation.
The resultant location on the blockchain is published by the IP owner. Anyone can review the data and the timestamp confirming when it was appended.
Benefits
Transparency, proof of publishing what and when.
Returns a location which the data creator can distribute.
Anyone can verify that the original data is at the location.
